Why I Built This
I love Foundation Paper Piecing, but for a long time, the design process felt like a chore. I wanted to turn my favorite photos and sketches into patterns, but I found myself jumping between three or four different applications just to get a single block ready to sew.
I was frustrated and disappointed. I would find one feature I loved in one app, but then I'd have to switch to another for the assembly instructions, and yet another to handle the fabric matching. I couldn't find everything I wanted in one place.
I realized that if I wanted a tool that handles the math, the Y-seam elimination, the fabric swatching, and the technical layout all at once, I would have to build it myself.
Fern Mountain Quilt Architect was born out of that frustration. It’s the "all-in-one" tool I always wished I had—built so we can spend less time fighting with software and more time where it belongs: sewing and enjoying our creations.
I’m dedicated to making this the best possible tool for our quilting community. I truly value your feedback and suggestions, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have ideas on how I can improve the program!
Happy Quilting!
